Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh, também chamado de Urso Pooh, é um urso de pelúcia antropomórfico fictício. Ele foi criado por A. A. Milne. Ele é baseado em um brinquedo de pelúcia que pertenceu ao filho de Milne, Christopher Robin Milne. O brinquedo recebeu o nome de "Winnipeg" ("Winnie"), que era um urso preto no Zoológico de Londres, e "Pooh", que era um apelido que Milne e seu filho tinham dado a um cisne. O primeiro livro foi publicado em 1926. Outros livros foram publicados mais tarde. Walt Disney fez uma série de desenhos animados com base nos livros. A Walt Disney Company ainda possui o personagem.
Pooh é um pequeno urso amarelo. Ele tem quase 22 polegadas (560 mm) de altura. Ele veste uma velha camiseta vermelha. Sua comida favorita é o mel. A primeira coisa que ele diz quando se levanta de manhã é "O que é o café da manhã?". Ele inventou o jogo "Poohsticks".
Pooh tem vários amigos. Seus nomes são Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo, Owl, Gopher, e Christopher Robin. Piglet é um pequeno porquinho tímido. O Igor é um velho burro cinza. O Tigre é um tigre enérgico. O coelho é um coelho de coração amável. Kanga é um canguru fêmea. Roo é o filho de Kanga.
O primeiro livro, Winnie-the-Pooh, foi publicado em 15 de outubro de 1926 por Methuen & Company. O segundo livro foi The House at Pooh Corner, que foi publicado em 11 de outubro de 1928. O livro de poesia When We Were Very Young foi publicado em 1924 e Now We Are Six foi publicado em 1927. Return to Hundred Acre Wood foi escrito por David Benedictus e publicado em 5 de outubro de 2009. The Best Bear in All the World foi publicado em 2016 para marcar o 90º aniversário do primeiro livro Winnie-the-Pooh.
Houve várias séries criadas por Walt Disney com base nestes livros. As histórias são traduzidas em muitos idiomas.
Um filme da Disney sobre Pooh, As Muitas Aventuras de Winnie the Pooh, foi feito em março de 1977. Winnie the Pooh foi feito em julho de 2011. Um filme de ação ao vivo dirigido por Marc Forster e baseado nos livros de A. A. Milne, intitulado Christopher Robin, foi lançado em 2018.
