O planeta Saturno tem 53 luas nomeadas, e outras 29 que ainda estão sendo estudadas. Muitas das luas são muito pequenas: 33 têm menos de 10 km de diâmetro e treze luas têm menos de 50 km. Luas hipotéticas

Duas luas foram descobertas por astrônomos diferentes, mas nunca mais foram vistas novamente. Dizia-se que ambas as luas orbitavam entre Titan e Hyperion.

  • Chiron que foi supostamente avistado por Hermann Goldschmidt em 1861, mas nunca observado por ninguém mais.
  • Themis foi supostamente descoberto em 1905 pelo astrônomo William Pickering, mas nunca mais foi visto novamente. No entanto, foi incluído em numerosos livros de almanaque e astronomia até os anos 60.
